This site is dedicated to my Beautiful Girl, Miss Tigger

I rescued Tigger at 6 months of age. We immediately started training in agility and within 2 years we began competing. Tigger overcame many issues including two dog attacks in class, fear of dogs near the competition ring, and various health issues, but we ultimately became an amazing team. We traveled often for competitions especially after I retired from my job when Tigger was 9 years old. She loved going to the beach, so I would always try to stay extra days to just play in the water. She loved to chase the seagulls and play fetch in the sand. She never got tired!

At the age of 14 years old, just before she retired from agility, she was diagnosed with TCC. My happy world came to a screeching halt. I spent over a month talking to as many specialists (both locally and nationally) as I could while endlessly researching studies and information online. Unfortunately, even though I tried a variety of treatments (Piroxicam, palliative radiation and chemo), she only survived 8 months after diagnosis. My heart is permanently broken.

I created this site in honor of Tigger to help others who have faced this same diagnosis in their pet. I am not a veterinarian, I just want to provide a starting point of information, allowing you to ask informed questions of your veterinarian and to help you through this terrible journey.
